Terms of Use

Kountly is a personal planning tool for savings goals, expenses, income, and debts. It builds savings plans, summaries, and estimates from the information you enter.

Features and available content may change as the App is updated.

Plans, schedules, projections, interest estimates, and savings opportunities are estimates based on the numbers you enter. They are for planning only and are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Interest and balance estimates are not your lender’s figures. Always rely on your lender’s or provider’s statements for what you owe and when it is due.

Any decision you make with the help of the App is your own.

Kountly never moves money, makes payments, cancels subscriptions, or contacts your bank, lenders, or service providers on your behalf.

Marking a saving, bill, or debt payment as done only records it in the App. It does not pay or transfer anything.

You may use Kountly only if you are legally permitted to use the App under the laws applicable to you.

If you are under the age required to enter into these Terms in your country or region, a parent or legal guardian should review these Terms and provide any required permission.

Ketch Labs Inc. grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Kountly for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

This license does not transfer ownership of Kountly or any of its content to you.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit the App or its content, except where permitted by law
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it
• Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the App
• Use Kountly for unlawful purposes

Everything you enter in Kountly is stored on your device only. There is no account and no cloud backup in this version.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Information lost by deleting the App, clearing its data, or losing or replacing your device cannot be restored by us.

Reminders depend on your device’s notification settings and may be delayed or not delivered. Do not rely on them as your only prompt for a bill, payment, or other deadline.

Kountly may display advertisements. We do not endorse the products or services advertised, and your dealings with any advertiser are between you and that advertiser.

Kountly does not currently offer in-app purchases.

If purchases are introduced in a future version, they will be processed by the platform through which you obtained Kountly, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, and will be subject to that platform’s payment and refund terms. These Terms will be updated before any purchases are offered.

We may update Kountly from time to time to introduce new features, change existing ones, fix bugs, improve security, or make other modifications.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for the operation or development of the App.

Kountly and its original content, including its software, graphics, illustrations, user interface, designs, branding, logos, and text, are owned by or licensed to Ketch Labs Inc.

All applicable intellectual property rights are reserved.

“Kountly,” the Kountly logo, and associated branding may not be used in a manner that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or authorization without permission from Ketch Labs Inc.

Kountly may rely on third-party services for features such as advertising and distribution.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the respective provider’s terms and privacy policies.

Ketch Labs Inc. is not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Kountly is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, or that its calculations will suit your situation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ketch Labs Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages, or for any financial loss, arising from your use of or inability to use Kountly, including missed payments, fees, or interest.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Your license to use Kountly ends if you materially violate these Terms.

You may stop using Kountly at any time by uninstalling the App.

Your use of Kountly is also subject to the Kountly Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and processed in connection with the App.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from benefiting from mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the laws of your country or region.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Kountly, our business practices, applicable laws, or third-party requirements.

When these Terms are updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Your continued use of Kountly after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
